Phone Holder

For BMEG 409, I designed and laser cut a personalized phone stand in Onshape. The project had two parts, an upright piece and a horizontal base, that slide together to hold a phone. I shaped the upright part into the Greek letters for Lambda Chi Alpha, my fraternity here at Bucknell, and paired it with a triangle base that matches our badge shape.

Along the way I practiced core CAD skills like sketching, extruding, filleting, and mirroring, and had to think through how the tabs and slots would actually fit together once cut. It was a cool way to combine something personal with real fabrication experience, from modeling in Onshape all the way to using the laser cutter in the Mooney Lab.
